The Salvation of Israel

We unite in prayer for the salvation of Israel

Scripture #1

“For this is the covenant that I will make with house of Israel: After those days, says the Lord; “I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.” Hebrews 8:10

Lord, You said You would make a covenant with Israel. We remind You of Your promise that You would put Your laws in their minds and write them on their hearts. May they call You their God; so they may be Your people.

Scripture #2

“And I will pour out on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the Spirit of grace and supplication, so that they will look on Me whom they have pierced; and they will mourn for Him, as one mourns for an only son, and they will weep bitterly over Him, like the bitter weeping over a firstborn.” Zechariah 12:10

Pour out Your Spirit of grace and supplication over Israel; let them know the One in whom they have pierced. Cause them to appeal to Heaven and ask for forgiveness and receive Christ Jesus; their Messiah.

Scripture #3

“But to this day whenever Moses is read, a veil lies over their heart.” II Corinthians 3:15

Lord, remove the veil from over their hearts that they may find their true Messiah.

Scripture #4

“Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they may be saved.”  Romans 10:1

We pray Lord, that Israel would be saved. Please hear our prayers and the desire of our hearts.

Scripture #5

“Isaiah also cries out concerning Israel: ‘Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sands of the sea, the remnant will be saved.'” Romans 9:27

As far back as Isaiah, You have heard the cries about Israel; we pray save the remnant.

Scripture #6

“‘And it shall be, in that day,’ says the Lord, ‘That you will call Me My Husband, and no longer call Me My Master.'” Hosea 2:16

We cry out for the day when Israel will call You her Husband because of her affectionate relationship. She will no longer call You her Master, as one who owns or possesses her.

Scripture #7

“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” I Peter 2:10

You have a chosen generation, one that is priesthood and nation; You have called them a special people. We are Your spiritual Israel gathered together as Your church made of Gentile and Jew.

Scripture #8

“For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. For they are ignorant of God’s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteous God.” Romans 10:2-3

Lord, open the eyes of the nation of Israel; though they have a zeal for You, it is accomplished by their own righteousness which brings them under the law of works. Remove their ignorance that they would become free through the righteousness of Christ Jesus.

Scripture #9

“For He says to Moses, ‘I will have mercy on whomever I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whomever I will have compassion.’ So then it is not of him who wills nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy.” Romans 9:15-16

Lord, You are a God of mercy and compassion and it is by Your desire that mercy and compassion are given, so we cannot wish a matter to come to pass nor can we run such a course in our own strength that You would grant us salvation. So we pray for Your mercy and compassion to be shown to Israel.

Scripture #10

“For the sake of His great name the Lord will not reject His people, because the Lord was pleased to make you His own.” I Samuel 12:22

Your name is great so we rejoice in Your loving kindness; that You will not reject Israel but are pleased to make her Your own.
