Lord, we lift up the teachers of our children. Hold them in Your mighty hands.
“My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one.“ John 17:15
“You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.” Psalm 32:7
Lord, we pray that You would protect these teachers’ mind, body, and spirit; that wherever they are, Your hand will be upon them. We ask that You would impact their homes with Your presence, that no evil will be tolerated or be able to take root. May they find Your life and light guarding their coming and going, in Jesus’ Name.
“After David had finished talking with Saul, Jonathan became one in spirit with David, and he loved him as himself. From that day Saul kept David with him and did not let him return home to his family. And Jonathan made a covenant with David because he loved him as himself.” 1 Samuel 18:1-3
Lord, we ask You for godly friendships and relationships that encourage them to grow together with You and with those relationships in their lives. We pray for a desire for pure and holy relationships that give You honor. We ask for an enthusiastic team approach to reaching the students in their care, rejoicing in seeing hearts touched by Love Himself.
“Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.” Deuteronomy 11:19
Lord, we ask for teachers to have unified minds to take part in redeeming the minds of students with You. Lord, we ask that You would give the teachers a hunger to teach these students as worship to You. We pray for a vision of being a mentor to these students and energy to carry through in love for these students.
“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore, put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.” Ephesians 6:12-13
Lord, give the teachers a mind to recognize the battle and to take authority to come against the plans of Satan to move liberal agendas as normal and anti-God perspectives of thought as “open mindedness”. Lord, would they boldly and with all wisdom stand against lies and fight with all love to win the hearts of these students and those who have fallen minds that may stand in opposition to truth.
“The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way, no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.” 1 Corinthians 2:10-11
Lord, we ask You would give the teachers insight into how to come alongside parents and students to help them to seek Your best. Lord, that they might be your mouthpiece to open up the minds of students and their parents to a higher calling and a more beautiful future.
“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God, this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is, his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Romans 12:1-2
Lord, we ask for renewed and creative minds to reach students with different learning talents and abilities. Lord, we ask for insight for these teachers to see how to reach the students with special needs, learning disabilities, attention issues, and psychological struggles. May these teachers take part in Your healing work in these students lives.
“‘Woe to me!’ I cried. ‘I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the Lord Almighty.'” Isaiah 6: 5
Lord, we ask for an encounter with the Living God for each teacher. May they be ruined for You that they may be free and that You may be glorified more and more.
