Schools Up! Let’s Pray for the Children

Let’s ask God to cause our children to be aware of the Power of God that is available to them, that they would model it to other students at school.

Scripture 1

I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, 19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe.   Ephesians 1:17-19

Glorious father, we pray for the children and youth in our schools in NWA that are called by your name, we pray that you will give them the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation so that they will know you better, we pray that the eyes of their hearts will be open as they start this new school year so that they will be full of your light in order that they will know the great hope to which you have called them, that they will know that they belong to you as an inheritance and that they will know the great power that they have inside of them by your Holy Spirit so that they may know you better.

Scripture 2

And among the lamp stands was someone like a son of man dressed in a robe reaching down to his feet and with a golden sash around his chest.  The hair on his head was white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like blazing fire.  His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace, and his voice was like the sound of rushing waters.  In his right hand he held seven stars, and coming out of his mouth was a sharp, double-edged sword. His face was like the sun shining in all its brilliance. Rev 1: 13-16

Glorious Father, you are the one that has the power and authority to reveal Jesus to our young believers, we pray that the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation will be poured out over our children in our schools,  that they will see Jesus as a resurrected man in heaven, that they will know that his eyes are like fire, not to be afraid of him but to know that He is on their side and that He sees everything, that Jesus will be to them like the sun shining in all its brilliance, that their hearts will be full of light as they are in the classrooms, in their homes and in their beds, that they will hear his voice as clear as the sound of rushing waters, that they will have the revelation of Jesus as the Word of God. That they may know the hope to which He has called you.

Scripture 3

May those who fear you rejoice when they see me, for I have put my hope in your word.     Psalms 119:74

Father, we thank you for the power of your Holy Spirit all around NWA filling up our young believers with your Hope. Father we pray that they will be moved to seek you by reading your Word, that your Word will be living to them and that they will draw great hope from it. That they may know the riches of his glorious inheritance in his Holy People.

Scripture 4

For you singled them out from all the nations of the world to be your own inheritance, just as you declared through your servant Moses when you, Sovereign LORD, brought our ancestors out of Egypt.”   1 Kings 8:53

Father we thank you that each one of these children that have trusted in your name is your inheritance, you long to be with them forever to fully give yourself to them. Would you reveal to our young believer and our youth that they are so valuable, would you reveal to them that they are your temple, would you reveal to them they are your precious possession and that they have everything in you. Reveal to them Holy Spirit that you want their friends that do not know you to be your inheritance as well. That they may know your incomparably great power for those who believe.

Scripture 5

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.    Romans 1:16

Father we pray that you will reveal to our children the great power and authority that they have inside of them, the power to live lives that please you, the power to overcome sin in their lives, the power to preach the gospel to their friends and their families, the power to know the Word of God as you want your Word known, the power to not fear but to be bold to bring the good news of salvation to those around them. Reveal the power of your Holy Spirit to them.
