Praying for Government – 3

This week, we finish our 3-week focus on praying for our government, both local and national.

Scripture 1

Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness and reveal the counsels of the hearts. Then each one’s praise will come from God. 1 Corin. 4:5

Lord, help us not to judge before Your time, those in darkness and those whose hearts are as guarded thoughts or opinions that have been hidden, for in Your time all will be revealed and all will give praise to God.

Scripture 2

“Now set your heart and your soul to seek the Lord your God. Therefore arise and build the sanctuary of the Lord God, to bring the ark of the covenant of the Lord and the holy articles of God into the house that is to be built for the name of the Lord.” 1 Chron. 22:19

We ask for the heart and soul of our government leaders would seek the Lord our God. We call the White House and all areas of government to cause these areas to be like a sanctuary for the Lord God, that His covenant would be what the house of government would be built on.

Scripture 3

“If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” 2 Chron. 7:14

We pray that our government leaders would humble themselves, pray for a fuller revelation of God’s glory to His people. That they would turn from everything that contradicts the spirit and direction of our prayers. That You will hear this prayer and cleanse this nation and bring healing for the nation, the people and the church.

Scripture 4

“to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.” Acts 26:18

Open the eyes of our government leaders that they would turn from darkness and find light, from the power of Satan to the true power of God. We ask that they would seek forgiveness and find faith in Jesus.

Scripture 5

Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God; but exhort one another daily, while it is call “Today,” lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. Hebrews 3:13-14

We prophesy to our government leaders that they will not be those whose hearts have been hardened, full of unbelief because of dishonest and immoral ways. But they will seek the Lord God with all their heart, soul and mind!
