Join us as we pray for comfort, hope, diversity, unity, mercy, grace, and love.
And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away. 1 Peter 5:4
We declare that all believers will take heart and comfort about the return of the Chief Shepherd, our Lord Jesus Christ. That the persecuted Church will see His crown of glory that He has waiting for them and they will take heart and be comforted.
11 So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, 12 to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up … Ephesians 4:11-12
Father God, thank You, that You took into account that we are all different. That You called us to different giftings and callings. Thank You that You don’t want us to be cookie-cutter. Help us to embrace our diversity of personality and our unity of the faith.
until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Ephesians 4:13
We exalt You, Jesus, that we will reach unity in the faith. You have promised our growth and our maturity. You are a self-revealing God and You want us to know You. We declare publicly our continued pursuit of You. We renew our commitment to hunger and desire to know You. We shake off complacency and apathy.
For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light 9 (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) 10 and find out what pleases the Lord. Ephesians 5:8-10
We know that we are children of the Light, Your children, Father God. We are in You, and there is no shadow or darkness in You. Therefore, not in us, either. We choose to live as Your children, turning from all darkness, knowing that Your mercy and grace redeem us daily.
Instead, be filled with the Spirit, 19 speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, 20 always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Ephesians 5:18b-20
This is our game plan! To be filled with the Holy Spirit! To speak to one another in songs from the Spirit with love and honor for each other. That the world may know we are Christians by our love. We draw a line in the sand and commit to walking without offense with each other. We renounce our habit of being offended.
be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. Ephesians 6:10b-11.
We call each other to be strong in the Lord. We are not weak. Father God has equipped us with everything we need to bring heaven to earth. We shout, “PUT ON THE ARMOR OF GOD, ALL YE SAINTS!” For He has redeemed us and made us a mighty army. He goes before us as our Captain. The Lord of Hosts is His Name!
