If God’s heart is for Israel, then we also should have a heart for Israel. Join us in praying for the nation of Israel and its people.
“I have set watchmen on the walls, O Jerusalem; they shall never hold their peace day and night. You who make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent, and give Him no rest till He establishes and till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.” Isa. 62:6-7
Lord, we are Your watchmen on the wall, You have positioned us high, that we would prayerfully focus on three areas: the city, the nations and heaven. We are to stay alert to Your character and promises which are made known both for Jerusalem and for the nations. May we be pressed with a spirit of urgency, restlessness, refusing to keep silent before You.
“Deep calls unto deep at the noise of Your waterfalls; all Your waves and billows have gone over me. The Lord will command His loving-kindness in the daytime, and in the night His song shall be with me- a prayer to the God of my life. Vindicate me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation; Oh deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man! For You are the God of my strength. Psalms 42:7-8, Psalms 43: 1-2a
As David cried out to You we cry out in a loud voice, we create upheaval in the spirit, that Your loving-kindness and Your song would be commanded over Israel. For You are the God of Israel and the Rock of her salvation. We cry out to You in prayers and thanksgiving for only You can save her, only You can defend her. You are her strength, send out Your light and Your truth, lead her to Your tabernacle, to Your alter and we will sing with exceeding joy and with instruments praise You, O God, our God.
“We have heard with our ears, O God, Our fathers have told us, the deeds You did in their days, in the days of old. You drove out nations with Your hand, but them You planted; You afflicted the peoples, and cast them out; for they did not gain possession of the land by their sword, nor did their own arm save them. But it was Your right hand, Your arm, and the light of Your countenance, because You favored them.” Psalms 44:1-3
Father, we remember Your mighty works and Your glorious wonders that You displayed for all to see. We ask that again; You would save Israel with Your strong right arm stretched out and Your mighty right hand which is Your seed; Christ Jesus. Let us focus on Your promises and confront our fears and the contradictions deep in our soul, let us challenge the unbelief in our hearts with the principals of faith. Faith comes by hearing the truth, so we remind ourselves of who You are!
“You are my King, O God; Command victories for Jacob. Through You we will push down our enemies; through Your name we will trample those who rise up against us. For You have saved us from our enemies; through Your name we trample those who rise up against us. For I will not trust in my bow, nor shall my sword save me. But You have saved us from our enemies; and put to shame those who hated us. In God we boast all day long, and praise Your name forever.” Psalms 44:4-8
God, You are the King of Israel and You have already commanded, victory is theirs! We give praise to You because we know it is not by our power or by our might, but by Your Spirit that we walk out and can declare the victories we have received through You and Your Living Word…Christ Jesus! We will boast of all Your works and praise Your holy name forever!
“Truly God is good to Israel, to such as are pure in heart. But as for me, my feet had almost stumbled; my steps had nearly slipped; for I was envious of the boastful, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked. If I had said, “I will speak thus,” behold, I would have been untrue to the generation of Your children. When I thought how to understand this, it was too painful for me. Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then I understood their end.” Psalms 73: 1-3, 15-17
Let us always remember Your love for Israel and how pure Your heart is for her. When we focus on the evil of those who do wrong we take our eyes off the truth and we fail to see Your hand is at work in greater ways then we can see with our natural eyes. But when we run to the shelter of our God we find strength and truth that speaks of a great purpose and a promise of protection. A time is coming when all evil will be removed from this earth and that is the true end of the wicked.
“And it shall come to pass; that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be deliverance, as the Lord has said, among the remnant whom the Lord calls. For behold, in those days and at that time, when I bring back the captives of Judah and Jerusalem, I will also gather all nations, and bring them to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. On account of My people, My heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations; they have divided up My land.” Joel 2:32, Joel 3:1-2
We call on the name of our Lord to bring deliverance to Zion and Jerusalem, that justice will come swiftly to those who have held Your people captive and divided Your land. We are Your people and Israel is Your inheritance; You will save and deliver us from the hand of the wicked! We rejoice in God our creator and our redeemer!
