Advent Jesus

Jesus is the Light of the world. As this Advent season comes to a close, let us reflect on the Light of Jesus.

Scripture 1

Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, “I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.” John 8:12

Jesus, following You is our hearts desire. You are the Light of the world and the Light of our life. We are no longer in darkness.

Scripture 2

“I am the Lord, I have called You in righteousness, I will also hold You by the hand and watch over You, and I will appoint You as a covenant to the people, as a light to the nations… Isaiah 42:6

Jesus, You are the covenant promise from the Father, in You is righteousness and You will be a light to the nations.

Scripture 3

“This is the judgement, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil.” John 3:19

Father, a decision was made and You sent the Light into the world. Jesus was the Light that came into the world. Reveal yourself to those who are walking in Your Light and to those who are walking in darkness.

Scripture 4

“While you have the Light, believe in the Light, so that you may become sons of Light” these things Jesus spoke, and He went away and hid Himself from them. John 12:36

We are sons of Light and we believe in Jesus, the Light of the world.

Scripture 5

For God, who said, “Light shall shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. 2 Corinthians 4:6

Jesus, you are the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God. Show us the heart of the Father.

Scripture 6

“And those who were with me saw the light, to be sure, but did not understand the voice of the One who was speaking to me. Acts 22:9

May we see Your Light and when we see it, allow us to understand You speak to us.
